- Dress for outdoors (athletic shoes & clothing/hats/sunscreen/etc)
Marching Lancers Pre-camps 7/22-7/26 @ SME
- ALL students – drumline, front ensemble, wind players. Registration, policies & procedures, school songs, pep band, uniforms & fee payment, etc
- 8am-12pm
- Please dress for the heat! See our camp checklist (more on this later)
IMPORTANT: Uniform Fittings & Registration 7/23-7/24 @ SME Band Room
- Get fitted for uniforms – pay fees – sign documents (transportation)
- Juniors & Seniors: Tues 7/23, 6-8pm
- Freshmen & Sophomores: Wed 7/24, 6-8pm

Marching Lancers Band Camp 7/29 – August 2 @ SME
- Monday & Tuesday – 7am-4pm, 6pm-8pm (Boosters provide lunch AND dinner Monday, on own Tuesday-Fri)
- Wed-Fri – 7am-4pm
- Marching Lancers Showcase – Thursday, 8/1, 7pm @ SM NORTH Stadium
SME BAND PARENT HAPPY HOUR – SAVE THE DATE
- Mark your calendars for Saturday (July 27, 2024) for the Band Parent/Supporter Meet and Greet Happy Hour. Please come and rub elbows with fellow band parents and supporters, get your questions answered, and enjoy beverages and appetizers.
- The Taylor Family (Chad and Leah) will be hosting this event at their house – 4103 Homestead Dr., Prairie Village, KS 66208. This is a come and go event, so stay for 30 minutes or stay for the entire time, we’re happy to see everyone! Food and drinks start at 4:00pm and we’ll be wrapped up by 6:30pm-ish to give you a free Sat evening to enjoy. Excited for a wonderful 2024-2025 Band Season, see you all on the 27th.
