- Tuesday: Blue Band, Olathe W. Friday: White Band, SM South
- Call time: 5pm
- Attire: Blue Band shirts — these are not optional! Please plan ahead
KMEA All-State Bands Thurs-Sat
- Congrats to Henry Revare for earning a spot in the All-State Jazz Band!
- Mr. Toepfer, Mr. Starnes & Mr. Smith will be in Wichita for the KS Music Educators’ Convention Thurs & Fri.
- We are lucky to have music subs for class and pep band – all rehearsals and activities will move forward as planned.
Basketball Concessions – Parent and Student Volunteers Needed

Spring Fundraiser – Hanging Flower Baskets
NEW fundraiser for 2023. We will be partnering with Louisburg Nursery & Greenhouse in selling hanging spring flower baskets. You can choose sun or shade-loving plants, and baskets can also be converted into sitting porch plants. Before you purchase flowers this spring, see a band member!
Jazz Night 2023
Seeking a student artist to design our Jazz Night t-shirt (May 5). Let Mr. Toepfer know if you are interested! You do not have to be a member of the jazz bands to participate
Upcoming Performances
Wednesday, March 1st 2023 – 7pm
- We do not have a ‘formal’ concert scheduled for the 3rd quarter so we can spend more time working fundamentals, solos & ensembles, and we added a couple festivals for jazz and symphonic band.
- Join us Wednesday 3/1 for an informal ‘pre-contest’ concert featuring both jazz bands and both concert bands. The symphonic band and blue knights are preparing for the UMKC Spring Festival and MNU jazz festival respectively.
