Spring Fundraiser – Hanging Flower Baskets
NEW fundraiser for 2023. We will be partnering with Louisburg Nursery & Greenhouse in selling hanging spring flower baskets. You can choose sun or shade-loving plants, and baskets can also be converted into sitting porch plants. Before you purchase flowers this spring, see a band member!
Thursday March 9, UMKC Spring Festival – Symphonic Band
- Dismissal @ 11am
- Attire: Concert Black. Students should be dressed in concert black before leaving for UMKC.
- Masterclasses for all instruments & convert observations – 11:30am-5pm
- Performance & Clinic: 6:30pm
- Reminder: There will be no buses from UMKC back to SME. Please secure rides home from the performance

KSHSAA Solo & Ensemble Festivals
- Regionals: April 15 (Olathe South)
- State: April 29 (Washburn Rural – Topeka)
- Students may prepare solos, trios or small ensembles to perform together.
