Absences
If you know that you/your student will be absent for an extracurricular rehearsal or performance, please fill out the absence form here. Please note that this does not automatically ‘excuse’ the student from the event – please contact us directly if it is significant conflict (FB game, concert, festival, etc)
Marching Band Week-At-A-Glance
- Monday – NO SCHOOL
- Tuesday – 7:00am-7:30am — Late in the Evening, Estancia, mark counts in music
- Wednesday – 7am: add sets 19-25 (Late in Evening), run/clean Tontos
- Thursday – 6pm-8pm: run 1st mvmt, review sets 19-25, add sets 26-30
- Friday – 7am: review sets 19-30, clean/run first two movements
Cadet Band Week-At-A-Glance
- Tuesday – concert literature sectionals
- Thursday – full group concert prep, school songs assignment due (Canvas)
Music Theory/IB Music Week-At-A-Glance
- Wednesday – review all previous fundamentals, add triad/chord qualities and inversions
- Friday – Ear training & fundamentals review
Jazz Band – Blue Knights (6th Hour)
- Tuesday – Blue Bossa scales/chords KMEA auditions, concert lit
- Thursday – bebop scales/arpeggios – permutations, concert lit
Jazz Band – Blue Notes (7th Hour)
- Wednesday – review jazz commandments, major scales, blues improvising work
- Friday – review new music, major scales, practice time on own
