Band BBQ Fundraiser
- Special thanks to the Hassets, Goodmans and Torkelsons for an amazing BBQ event. They went above and beyond in their efforts to raise funds for the band. Thanks for the tasty food, warm hospitality and their incredible devotion to the band! Thanks also to everyone who sold meals and volunteered to make it a great event. We will have final numbers to announce soon.
District Honor Band Audition sign-up deadline extended to Monday, 10/7
- The KMEA East Central District puts together an honor band, choir, orchestra and jazz band made up of the best musicians in the KC Metro area. Auditions are Saturday, November 9th at Olathe East High School. If selected, you can audition for the All-State ensembles in February. SMSD Marching Festival Monday, 10/7, 7pm, SM South Stadium
- Event is free and open to the public. All 5 SMSD bands will be performing. A great opportunity to see all the amazing marching bands in the district!

- Due to the busy week, there will be NO 7am rehearsal Tuesday, and no Tuesday night sectionals. Take time to get caught up with schoolwork!

Marching Band Senior Night, Thursday, 10/24
