CAR WASH — THANK YOU & CONGRATS!
Thank you to the amazing parent volunteers who ran the car wash, the students who kept every station covered, and Drumline & Pep Band for making it a musical, entertaining event!
• Donated supplies (hoses, coolers, tents, etc.) are near the band room doors and may be picked up any time.
• Please turn in any pre-sale money ASAP.
UPCOMING THIS WEEK
• Zero Hour (7am) Marching Band Rehearsals Continue This Week (through 10/30) — 7am, Lower Turf Field
- Percussion: arrive by 6:30am
- All Band: arrive by 6:45am
- Tuesdays: 6:45am call for all students (shorter rehearsal, less setup).
- Secure phones and personal items in lockers before rehearsal. Bring only your instrument, music/lyre/FF, and drill coordinates/pouch/materials.
• Thursday Night MB Rehearsal — Thursday, Aug 27, 6–8pm, SME Lower Turf with staff.
• FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS — Friday, Aug 28, SME Lower Turf Field
- Call time: 6:15pm, Band Room
- Performance: 6:50–7:00pm — sets 1–33 for the people!
- Attire: 2026 Cold-Blooded show shirts (new — handed out Friday).
NEW: VOLLEYBALL CONCESSIONS
Another large moneymaker for the band and a great way to pitch in! The Band Boosters are maintaining their SignUpGenius account for concessions:
BAND COMMUNICATIONS UPDATE
Update: We are keeping CutTime for its essential purposes—finances, inventory, and equipment—but communications are moving to ParentSquare.
• ParentSquare — Band announcements will now be sent through ParentSquare. Good news: you are already registered through Skyward/SMSD.

• The band calendar has been duplicated in ParentSquare, and Marching Band volunteer requests have been added.
• CutTime Help & FAQ — If you need to access CutTime: resources, FAQ, and login guidance.
• Join the BAND App — Special announcements, parent reminders, and performance photos/videos.
• SME Band Website — Calendar events and band resources.
BAND DUES

BAND HANDBOOK 2026–2027 & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Review the updated handbook. Students and parents should sign the acknowledgement form in CutTime.

MOBILE DEVICES & BAND LOCKERS
Review the district policy and use assigned band lockers for mobile devices.
• Store phones before school; marching band students must store them before 7am rehearsal.
• No access during school hours, lunch, or passing periods.
• Retrieve phones at the end of the day.
• Additional SME procedures are coming soon.
SCHOOLFUNDR EMAIL DRIVE WRAP-UP
$30,000 and counting! Thank you for another successful fundraiser.
• Donors who contribute to your campaign are listed on your homepage. Please reach out to thank them when they donate.
