THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME
The SM East Lancer Band is heading to Rome, Italy for an international performance trip over winter break 2026–2027. Approximately 130 travelers — students, family, and chaperones — will represent SM East on an international stage. This trip is open to all band students and their families.

PERFORMANCE EVENTS
ROME NEW YEAR’S DAY PARADE
March through the streets of Rome in an internationally televised parade on January 1, 2027.
FRASCATI STREET FESTIVAL
Perform a parade and field show at a street festival in the hillside town of Frascati, about 20 km outside Rome.
CONCERT PERFORMANCE
An indoor jazz and concert band performance at a Rome venue (details to be confirmed after the June site inspection).
KEY DATES & DEADLINES
April 1, 2026 — Enrollment deadline (deposits become non-refundable)
June 29 – July 5, 2026 — Director’s site inspection trip to Rome
August 2026 — Passenger manifest due
Fall 2026 — Roommate assignments finalized
December 27, 2026 — Departure from MCI
January 3, 2027 — Return home
