SCHOOLFUNDR E-MAIL DRIVE

Every message matters. Every thank-you matters.

Our 2026–2027 fundraiser helps cover equipment, props, travel expenses, and transportation for the SM East Lancer Band. A complete student profile and thoughtful outreach make it easier for family, friends, neighbors, and supporters to connect with your story.

STUDENT CHECKLIST

  1. Complete your profile. Add a clear photo and a short, personal message about what band means to you. A complete profile helps potential donors know who they are supporting.
  2. Build a thoughtful contact list. Start with family, family friends, former teachers, coaches, neighbors, and other adults who know you. Double-check every address before adding it.
  3. Make it personal. Use names, explain your connection, and share one specific reason the band program matters to you. Personal notes are more meaningful than a generic blast.
  4. Follow up respectfully. One friendly reminder is helpful. Repeated messages can feel like pressure. A “no” or no response should always be respected.
  5. Thank every donor. Send a prompt, genuine thank-you—no matter the gift amount. Mention how their support helps the band and let them know you appreciate them.
  6. Share progress, not pressure. Updates about the campaign, rehearsals, or upcoming performances give supporters a reason to stay connected.

WHY YOUR PROFILE MATTERS

Your profile is the first thing many supporters will see. Keep it positive, accurate, and school-appropriate. Use your own words, check spelling, and help donors understand the student behind the fundraiser.

A strong profile can include:

  • Your instrument, ensemble, or leadership role
  • A favorite band memory or goal for this year
  • What you have learned through band
  • How donations will support equipment, props, travel, and transportation
  • A simple, sincere invitation to help or share

E-MAIL PRIVACY, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

Schoolfundr’s privacy policy says its parent company, Hometown, does not sell user data to external platforms. The platform does collect contact information, including e-mail addresses, to operate its services and communicate about accounts, donations, and active requests; its policy also describes some marketing uses and opt-out choices.

  • Only enter addresses for people you or your family actually know.
  • Never post a contact list publicly or share your Schoolfundr password.
  • Check spelling so messages reach the intended person.
  • Recipients can use the opt-out instructions in marketing e-mails.
  • Questions about platform privacy should be checked against the current Schoolfundr Privacy Policy.
