- Next week: Tues/Wed/Thurs (sitzprobe with cast/crew Thursday 1/16)
Basketball Pep Band:
- Tuesday, January 7 — Call time 5pm. Alumni pep band night!
- Friday, January 10 — Pep Assembly, dismissed at the end of 2nd hour (9am)
- 7am Pep Band Rehearsals Begin January 14
- Blue SME Band shirts are mandatory!

Basketball Concessions
- One of our top fundraising opportunities for the band. The SME Band Boosters and students run the concession stands for all home basketball games. It is a great way to help the band earn money and socialize with the SME community!

All-State Auditions
- All-State Auditions will be held on Saturday, 1/11/2020 at Lakewood Middle School in Salina, KS. Students who made district band are eligible to participate. We will be traveling via charter bus and departing from SM NORTHWEST HS, at 5:30am Saturday. Students must arrive by 5:15am! We will return by 5-6pm Saturday evening.
Additional Announcements
- The band room will be closed during Seminar Thursday due to enrollment meetings
- Students should be selecting solos, small groups (quartets/trios/etc) to take to Solo & Ensemble Festival on April 4. See a director if you’d like some help!
- This is a great time to start or re-start private lessons. See our list of recommended teachers here! All students are highly encouraged to take private lessons.
